In 1967, I walked to B&B after getting out of school. My job was to sweep the warehouse floors using water to keep the dust down. In 1972, I turned 18 and was old enough to get a chauffeur license to drive a truck. While I attended ISU, I drove this truck on Tuesday and Thursday.

About a year ago, I received a phone call from an auto restorer in town that had something I might want to look at. When I pulled up in the lot, there she was, just like I last drove it, a 1972 GMC Metro all original, but missing the rear bumper.
He found it in a barn south of town so naturally, I had to buy it.
